Privacy Policy
FitX AI, covering the FitX AI iPhone and Android apps and the websites fitxai.app and app.fitxai.app.
Effective 4 November 2026
Who we are
FitX AI is operated by Srihari Thoutu, an individual based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. You can contact us about your privacy at fitxai.app@gmail.com.
What FitX AI does with your information
FitX AI builds a training plan and calorie and protein targets from the answers you give, and keeps your workout, body measurement and food records so you can follow your progress. The calculations are made by FitX AI's own rules on your device. Your information is not sent to any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning service.
What we collect
You must be at least 13 to use FitX AI. We collect only what you give us or what the app creates while you use it.
| Information | Examples |
|---|---|
| Sign-in details | The account you sign in with (Google or Apple): an account ID, your email address (with Apple, this can be a private relay address Apple creates for you) and your name. |
| Your profile and answers | Age, sex, height, weight, goal, training experience, activity level, how many days and minutes you train, where you train and what equipment you have, your units, and the body-fat picture you choose. |
| Injuries and health answers | Injury areas, any note you type about an injury, and health-condition answers. This is health information. It is used to show safety messages and to leave out exercises that load a joint you report as injured. |
| Training | Your plan, exercises, each set you log (weight, reps and effort), notes, pain flags and history. |
| Body measurements | Weight and tape measurements with their dates. |
| Your acceptance of our terms | Which versions of the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy you accepted, when (our server’s time) and on which platform (web, iPhone or Android). Kept so we can show what you agreed to and ask again if they change. |
| Food records | Foods you eat each day, with calories and macronutrients; meal plans; your nutrition settings; foods and meals you create; favourites; diet preferences and allergies you choose. |
| Health app data (only if you connect it) | If you connect Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android): daily steps, active energy, walking and running distance, sleep and resting heart rate, workouts recorded by other apps, and weigh-ins. This is health information. See Apple Health and Health Connect below for what is kept where. |
Diet and allergy choices can reveal health, religious or cultural information, so we treat them with the same care as health information.
What we do not collect: payment details (FitX AI has no payments), your location, your contacts, your photos, your camera or microphone, advertising identifiers, or analytics or crash-report data. The apps and websites do not set cookies and do not include advertising or tracking software.
Why we use it
- To sign you in and show you who is signed in.
- To build your plan, targets and progress charts and to show safety messages.
- To keep your data on your account so it is the same on your phone and on the web, and so it is there if you change phones.
We do not sell your information and do not use it for advertising.
Where it is kept and who else is involved
| Who | What they do | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Firebase Authentication) | Signs you in | Your sign-in request and account details. |
| Google (Cloud Firestore) | Stores your account data | The information in the table above, filed under your account ID, except the health-app activity described below, which stays on your phone. Only your own account can read it (see the database rules). It is encrypted when sent and Google describes it as encrypted when stored. |
| Apple (Sign in with Apple) | Signs you in if you choose Apple | Your sign-in request. Apple tells FitX AI whether to trust it. |
| Google (Firebase Hosting) | Serves fitxai.app and app.fitxai.app | The ordinary details a web server receives when you visit (such as your IP address and browser), in Google's logs. |
| Google Fonts | Provides a typeface on the web app (app.fitxai.app) | Your IP address and browser details when the web app loads. fitxai.app and the mobile apps carry their typefaces themselves and do not contact Google Fonts. |
Your data is stored in Melbourne, Australia (Google Cloud region australia-southeast2). Google may process it in other countries as well. Some Google services we rely on, such as sign-in, run on Google’s global network, and Sign in with Apple is run by Apple, so some information is processed outside Australia.
Access by the operator
The database is protected so that only your own signed-in account can read your data through the apps. As the operator, we can technically reach stored data through the Firebase console, which is how the service is run and supported.
Your phone's and browser's copy
To work without a connection, the app also keeps a copy of your data and any changes not yet sent on your phone, in the app's private storage, or in your browser's local storage on the web app. Signing out removes that copy for a FitX account, and so does uninstalling the app. Anyone who can unlock your phone and open FitX AI can see what is in it.
Apple Health and Health Connect
Connecting a health app is optional. You choose to connect in the app (Profile, then Connected apps, then Health), and you choose which data FitX AI may read in Apple Health or Health Connect. You can change that there at any time.
- Read only. FitX AI only reads from Apple Health and Health Connect. It never writes anything to them.
- What it reads and why. Steps, active energy, walking and running distance, sleep and resting heart rate are shown on Home and in Progress so you can see your activity next to your training. Workouts recorded by other apps or a watch are listed next to your FitX AI sessions. Weigh-ins are added to your body-weight measurements on days you haven’t entered a weight yourself. Active energy is shown only: it never changes your calorie target.
- Where it is kept. Steps, activity, distance, sleep, heart rate and imported workouts are kept on your phone only, as daily totals for the last 90 days. They are not uploaded to your FitX AI account. Weigh-ins added to your measurements are saved in your account, like a weight you type, so they appear on your other devices; a weight you entered yourself is never replaced.
- How it is used. FitX AI uses this data only to provide the features described here. It is not sold, not used for advertising, not sent to any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning service, and not shared with anyone else.
- Stopping. In Profile, then Connected apps, then Health, choose Disconnect. You can keep what was imported or remove it from your phone, together with the imported weigh-ins (weights you entered are kept). On Android, Disconnect also withdraws FitX AI’s access in Health Connect; on iPhone, Apple lets you withdraw it in the Health app. Download my data includes the health data on your phone, and signing out of a FitX account or deleting your account removes it from the phone.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data until you delete your account. We do not currently delete inactive accounts automatically. We may change this and will tell you in the app first. Google keeps operational logs and backups for periods Google sets, which we do not control. We do not control how long Google keeps backups of its systems, so data you delete can remain in such backups until they expire.
Your choices and rights
- See and download your data. In the app: Profile, then Download my data. You receive one file containing everything held in your account.
- Correct it. You can change your profile, plan, measurements and food records in the app at any time.
- Delete it. In the app: Profile, then Delete account. See how to delete your account.
- Ask us. Contact fitxai.app@gmail.com with any privacy question or complaint. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Health information
FitX AI gives general fitness and nutrition information. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose or treat anything. FitX AI does not set calorie or weight targets for people under 18. Talk to a doctor before starting a new exercise or eating plan, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or take medication.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
